French DJ and producer Phi-Phi played a key role in developing and popularizing the progressive house sound during the 1990s. You can for sure say that he’s one of the pioneers and made the foundation for the Belgium electronic scene. As he was one of the resident DJ’s for the infamous Boccaccio Life club alongside lots of other residency’s for legendary clubs in Belgium nightlife.
Phi-Phi is known for his excellent DJ mixing skills and storytelling sets that goes from melodic techno or techno to progressive music.
Production wise his long-time cohort with Philippe Van Mullem (R.I.P.) resulted in projects such as Dobel You, Honey C, UNA, Innertales and Quadran. Phi-Phi had also some collaborations with Gregory Dewindt, the Mackenzie, Roddy Reynaert and Airwave. All the tunes became European or Belgium club hits with some of them even charted and earned European national radio airplay. Nowadays Phi-Phi is teaming up with Manu Riga and producing for himself a proper sound of quality melodic progressive electronic music. Phi-Phi is also remixing other artists into his own well known signature sound.
