I am based in Melbourne Australia. I grew up listening to Dylan and Joni Mitchell. In my teens I discovered Jazz. I've been trying to decipher it ever since. I am self taught, so learning how to play Jazz guitar has been a very long journey. Along the way I found myself writing songs for other people and also being employed by Publishing Companies to write songs for them. I had some success and hits with my own band Southern Sons and also with Australian legend John Farnham and I got to tour the world. My journey has taken me far from my earlier days when I worked in factories, road construction gangs and music shops. In 2018 I decided to write for myself and to write whatever I wanted to write. I always wanted to combine folk songs with Jazz. The depth of feeling I got from singer songwriters combined with the other worldly language of Bebop. So.....here goes.
