A songwriter, producer, instrumentalist, and vocalist based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Philip Owusu was involved in a handful of releases during the 2000s. Some of his notable appearances came with "Nevermore," a deep house single credited to Owusu & Green (Naked Music, 2003); Living with Owusu & Hannibal, a full-length collaboration with Robin Braun (Ubiquity, 2006), and "Read My Mind," a guest appearance on a 12" by Metro Area (Environ, 2007). During the first three years of the 2010s, he laid low, though Braun enlisted him to contribute to Quadron's self-titled album. Toward the end of 2012, an Owusu elegant solo recording titled "Goodnight" reached U.K. and U.S. airwaves through the BBC's Gilles Peterson and KCRW's Anthony Valadez. Owusu finally released the song in March 2013. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
