Singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Philip Whitehead hearkens to the likes of renaissance men forbears Matt Corby, Sufjan Stevens and John Mayer. Expect hushed indie-folk distillations and soulful laments, with an abundance of layers and whisper-in-your-ear vocals.

Whitehead began his career as an engineer at London's prestigious Mi7 Studios (home to Z Dot, Donae'O and Levi Lennox), where he soon began working on his own self-produced material during studio down-time. Following a string of successful initial single releases, Whitehead announced the completion of his debut EP 'Combray' in early 2019. The EP's first single 'Cairo' was released in June 2019 to critical praise from Sounds Magazine and Muzikalia, as well as airtime on BBC Introducing. Its next single, 'The Maze', is due on 6th September.
