Welcome to the PHRAZEGAMBLERS on Spotify. The Phrazegamblers sound is atmospheric and pulsating, intense and multilayered. Atmospheric Pop with Electro-Dance-Rock-Feel. A scottish music fan in Glastonbury called it Trippy Pop. Sounds interesting. So let’s call it Trippy Pop: "With their music the Phrazegamblers from Essen continue the tradition of the great rock/pop bands like U2, Depeche Mode or Peter Gabriel, but roote their songs with programmed beats and electronic elements in the new millenium." (Coolibri-Magazine) The Phrazegamblers started as a two-man project (Thomas Drepper/Stefan Kaiser) in Essen (Germany) with priority on composition and studio activity. For the live performances the long time friends Michael Hahneke (drums), Markus Heijenga (bass) and Björn Friedrich (guitar) joined the band. These live performances inspired their sound and reminded them how it feels to be a band again. The first album DISCOVER offers twelve melodic rock and pop tracks between rocking guitars and driving beats. PLEASURE is their second album. As Soundmag-Magazine writes about PLEASURE: "The album is full to bursting with atmospheric, pop, electronic and rock songs that melodically embellish life every day!" Sounds good, feels good!
