The Lycra-wearing, "Harlem Shake"-ing Pink Guy is one of the most recognizable characters created by biracial Japanese-Australian comedian and musician George "Joji" Miller, who is best known on the internet as Filthy Frank. His online comedy series -- The Filthy Frank Show -- debuted in 2011. Since its inception, The Filthy Frank Show -- and characters like Pink Guy -- has garnered Miller over four million followers. Miller's absurdist productions reached the pop culture mainstream in early 2013 when a video of Pink Guy and friends dancing to <a href="spotify:artist:25fqWEebq6PoiGQIHIrdtv">Baauer</a>'s EDM track "Harlem Shake" went viral and spawned one of the year's biggest internet memes. He rode his ensuing popularity by releasing an album of popular vignettes, the self-titled Pink Guy, in 2014. With a built-in fan base, Pink Guy's 2016 release, Pink Season, topped download charts and climbed to number 76 on the Billboard 200. Featuring songwriting by Miller and production from <a href="spotify:artist:2sfSQ1BOzaFQa3LZj6OGwD">Josh Pan</a>, RyanJacob, and Holder, Pink Season included tracks primarily influenced by trap rap, but also added ukulele ditties and downtempo electronic (reflecting his more serious songwriting when performing under the Joji moniker). At turns tasteless, offensive, and sophomoric, Pink Season also highlighted Miller's satirical wit, delivering biting statements regarding race, politics, and culture. ~ Neil Z. Yeung, Rovi
