Plaguefever

Plaguefever began infecting Richmond, Virginia’s underground with an unreleased 2012 demo, a primitive tape that already carried the skeleton of chaos to come. Nearly a decade later, they resurfaced with Crude Implements (2021), a six-track blast of blackened thrash ‘n’ roll praised for its “feral, borderline-primitive ferocity” (No Clean Singing) and riffs that stuck like scars. Mastered by Joel Grind (Toxic Holocaust), the LP quickly became a cult favorite on limited 180-gram vinyl and CD.

In 2024, the plague spread wider with Flail Of Pestilence, nine uncompromising tracks mastered by Jack Control (Darkthrone, Aura Noir) and Maor Appelbaum (Mayhem, Voivod). From the crushing title-track opener to the blistering closer, “Taste The Chain” (featuring Nick Poulos of Municipal Waste/BAT), the album sharpened Plaguefever’s venomous attack.

The lineup — D. Kollektor, M. Infektor, G. Neglektor, and Z. Projektor — delivers their plague live with equal parts death-like seriousness and metalpunk irreverence, channeling the raw chaos of Venom, Bathory, and Aura Noir. With Flail Of Pestilence, Plaguefever cement themselves as torchbearers of uncompromising blackened thrash, spreading riffs, ignorance, and fury one blood-soaked stage at a time.
