Breaking the mould of PC Music’s hyperreal output, Planet 1999 are as inspired by bubblegum pop stars as their nineties shoegaze icons. Since debuting late 2019 and always aligned in their group motto — EVERYTHING IS ABOUT EMOTION — the band have released their critically acclaimed debut EP 'Devotion', co-written and co-produced Charli XCX’s single ‘February 2017', collaborated on a summer single with Anamanaguchi, supported label mate Hannah Diamond and played online events including PC Music’s Pop Carol, Appleville (next to 100 gecs, Charli XCX, Clairo), Lavapalooza and more.
