Hailing from Bedford, vocalist Oli Power, bassist Oscar Goodwin, drummer Max Day and guitarist’s Sam McCarthy and Stephen Azevedo, came together through their love of iconic bands such as <a href="spotify:artist:22WZ7M8sxp5THdruNY3gXt" data-name="The Doors">The Doors</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:36QJpDe2go2KgaRleHCDTp" data-name="Led Zeppelin">Led Zeppelin</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5xUf6j4upBrXZPg6AI4MRK" data-name="Soundgarden">Soundgarden</a> . These bands, alongside an immense love for performing, create the key elements that build the foundations of Plateau as a band. Proving that each show is distinctly memorable, Plateau have risen up the ranks in a short amount of time, headlining shows at famed venues such as the O2 Academy Islington and The Troubadour.
With each member of the band coming from a different musical background, Plateau intertwine grunge-like vocals alongside bluesy riffs and hard-rock rhythms that are decorated amongst a psychedelic background. This creates a sound that is recognisably unique to them.
