The seven-piece Croatian bluegrass band Plava Trava Zaborava (Croatian for ‘Bluegrass festival’) were formed in 1982. Although they play mainly bluegrass, they also play other styles of country music and their repertoire includes Rodney Crowell’s ‘Voila An American Dream’ and Billy Joe Shaver’s ‘Georgia On A Fast Train’. Jimmy Matestic (vocals) sings without a discernible accent and also writes their original material. The instrumental ‘Yugo Goes To Nashville’ allows the individual members to shine.
