Born in 1944 in Mexico City, Polo Polo (Leopoldo García Benítez Peláez) became one of Mexico's most well-known comedians, garnering fans worldwide for his unique brand of adult-themed practical jokes. He started his comedic ventures in the 1970s, and by 1976 was selling out shows on a regular basis. His first album, Viaje e España, brought his talents to a wider audience, and led to a long-term record deal. Over the years, Polo Polo has released a large number of albums, mostly live shows, as well as a number of best-of compilations.
