Popleo, born Marvel Osangbajumi, found his passion for music at the tender age of 10 while growing up in the vibrant city of Lagos, Nigeria. Immersed in the rich musical culture of his surroundings, he began honing his craft, experimenting with melodies and lyrics. His journey into the world of music took a significant leap forward during his time at Delta State University, where he not only pursued his education but also delved deeper into his musical aspirations. Surrounded by a supportive network of friends and family, Popleo was encouraged to pursue his dreams of becoming a recording artist.
Now signed to Yo Nation Music, Popleo is poised to carve out his place in the Afrobeat scene. Drawing inspiration from musical titans such as Wizkid, Burnaboy, Davido, and Rae Sremmurd, he infuses his music with a fresh blend of Afrobeat and contemporary street pop, creating a sound that is uniquely his own. Popleo's talent did not go unnoticed on his university campus, where he quickly gained recognition through his electrifying performances and participation in talent shows.
