Primary Explosives are a three-piece band from Bath whose catchy riffs and energetic stage presence has captured audience attention since the band’s formation in November 2021. Their diverse range in songs has generated their mass appeal to varied audiences from indie to metal fans. It is this immense diversity which has seen the band play alongside big artists such as Black Coast and Snake Eyes.
Primary Explosives have been inspired by a large range of artists including Royal Blood, Muse and Queens of the Stone Age, all of whom have enabled the band to explore with their own style and create their own original take on their genre. Having played shows across the south of England at several notable venues including Moles, The Fleece and The Railway Inn, the band’s live performance capabilities are constantly evolving. The band are also never shy to take a risk and play with unknown territory, as is proved by their heavy covers of ABBA and Billie Eillish songs. The band comprises of singer and guitarist Archie Thornton, bassist Alex Brew and drummer Felix Henson.
The release of debut single “Frontlines” was accompanied by a series of headline release shows across the south west. The song enabled to the band to make their debut on ‘BBC Introducing’ shortly after the track was released, further cementing the band as a force to be reckoned with within upcoming music scenes.
