Prince Street Bodega (PSB) is a four-piece NYC supergroup blending funk, soul, disco, and hip-hop fused with indie rock. The band’s origin was a happy accident born out of the 2020 lockdowns when NYC-based producers <a href="spotify:artist:1wqW0IQWC7V7jktcjVHID6" data-name="Black Caviar">Black Caviar</a> (Troy Hinson & Jared Piccone) connected with Irish singer/songwriter <a href="spotify:artist:1sZpZv5Da0fzYvrbdXnXU7" data-name="Rion S">Rion S</a> (Ryan Sewell) to make house tracks. The collaboration quickly produced two standouts—“Money Money” on Defected Records and “Tamed” on Toolroom Records.
Wanting to explore beyond house, Ryan shared a batch of raw, live-feeling demos. The project found its final spark when Troy moved to Greenwich Village and met producer and multi-instrumentalist <a href="spotify:artist:0njfgkVXlaTtQnSZx9awZt" data-name="DOMENICO">DOMENICO</a>. What started as a few sketches evolved into a full album built on organic instrumentation, live-band energy, and soulful songwriting.
