Pro Patria

Italian-based Pro Patria was founded in 1988 by keyboard virtuoso Peter V. (aka PVC) and quickly evolved into a dark EBM style. After having released a number of successful demos, the band signed with the German Celtic Circle Records and produced their first full CD "Quod Erat Demonstrandum" and the accompanying "Hard Times" maxi in 1997. Unfortunately C.C. faced bankruptcy when the CDs were about to be released and the band remained empty-handed. Soon afterwards Peter's personal situation changed much for the worse and Pro Patria became forgotten. In 2017, however, Peter received an invitation to play live again at the Familientreffen EBM festival near Leipzig, Germany. Encouraged by the success of this gig, Peter dived back into the studio to produce a new album "Back to Basics". In 2018, Pro Patria performed live i.a. at the W-Fest where they again received a lot of positive feedback. In the meantime, work had started on yet another album "Executioner", released in September 2019.
In 2021, Pro Patria released two new full albums: their fourth full length called "Godless", and acoustic "Naked EBM". In 2022 Pro Patria published their 6th album "Piercing Through the Armour".
