Sharing a fondness for the noisy shoegazers and gentle C-86 artists, Adam Malec and Andrea Belair formed Procedure Club in New Haven, CT in December of 2007. After self-releasing a limited run of CD-Rs and cassettes -- lo-fi bedroom recordings of bass, drum machines, and guitar fuzz, all topped with Andrea’s sweet, airy vocals -- the duo posted a free-to-download album on BEKO DSL and a 7” titled Slut Fossil on Sixteen Tambourines. In 2010, the duo was signed to Slumberland Records (home of similar-minded artists Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Black Tambourine, and the Lodger) and Malec and Belair started laying the groundwork for their first official album. ~ Jason Lymangrover, Rovi
