A producer born and raised in Los Angeles, Prof. Xavier’s style is heavily influenced by soul, jazz, and funk. Fans would describe his music as smooth, dynamic, fluid and sonically rich. Put simply, Prof. Xavier’s music is a “vibe.” His sound is inspired by the music of 9th Wonder, Terrace Martin, Alchemist, Timbaland, Dr. Dre, and Just Blaze.
“Cash Up,” Prof. Xavier’s first released single, reached an impressive 50,000 streams within the first two months. Prof. Xavier and his artist J. McCall collaborated on their first EP titled, “My Life”
Prof. Xavier’s love for music started as a child. His mom is a professional, classically trained soprano singer, and his dad is a music buff who has a passion for funk, jazz, rock, blues, and country. With a variety of musical influences growing up, it’s no surprise that Prof. Xavier also grew up playing the clarinet and alto sax.
