PROJECTO KAYA is like an embrace of friendship getting together Andrea and Liliana. Andrea, who brings the traditional Portuguese "fado" roots with a modern flavor and Liliana , that brings Africa in her blood. The portuguese guitar that is heard in Africa, the "semba" that shines and makes you dance in the streets of Lisbon. Together, they created a unique sound, merging Fado and Semba with electronics.
"Bem vindos a Kaya" ("Welcome to Kaya") was the debut album of this alternative duo, released in 2012.
The EP "Semente Mutante" ("Mutant Seed"), marks the awaited return os Projecto Kaya. With the single "Beija Flor" ("Hummingbird"), produced by Agir, they bring a slightly different sounds than usual, marking a new stage in their lives.
With this fusion , the door is open to Kaya ( Kaya means Home in zulu dialect ).
