Nestled somewhere between Stoner, Prog, Metal and Grunge in the grand archipelago of heavy guitar-based music, South Wales's Prosperina have thus far managed to evade pin-point pigeonholing by the rock press.
Some reviewers have likened their compressed sludgy wash to bands like ISIS, whilst others place them squarely in line with bands like Soundgarden, Monster Magnet and Tool.
Whilst all these comparisons remain accurate in part, Prosperina's voice is of its own volition in so much as the band have managed to meld their influences into a sound that has its own firm, yet unique direction.
With their third full-length 'FLAG' due 2nd quarter of 2021; Prosperina are set to fire an arrow through their target with a honed, muscular and multi-dimensional sound that carries a bold lyrical honesty forged from experience.
"Epic yet also intimate" - Malcolm Dome, Classic Rock.
"Superb stuff" - Dave Ling, Metal Hammer.
"Sounds like an army made of Welsh druids with guitars" - KKKK, Kerrang.
"Progressive, ambitious and intelligent... Metal with a brain" - 8/10 Line of Best Fit.
