Psahzz

Psahzz is a versatile jazz initiative based in Vienna, co-founded by composer, pianist, and producer Ali Hossein Mahdavi, alongside vocalist, graphic designer, and event organizer Aigin Afrasiabi. Since its launch in 2020, Psahzz has played a key role in shaping Vienna’s jazz scene, particularly with its vibrant "Sunday Jam Session" at Loop, held on the last Sunday of each month. This session has become a well-known event, attracting a mix of local talent and international musicians, creating a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere. Beyond the live performances, Psahzz is dedicated to musical innovation, recording and producing various projects with diverse artists, constantly exploring new sonic possibilities. Drawing from jazz, EDM, indie pop, experimental music, and Iranian musical traditions, Psahzz blends these genres into fresh, exciting compositions. Their unique takes on classic Persian songs bridge cultural heritage and modern sounds, offering innovative reinterpretations. Psahzz’s growing international presence and commitment to artistic exploration continue to inspire and connect audiences worldwide.
