Babak Rajabi, singer, composer, songwriter Iranian born in 1982 in Isfahan, resident in France since 2016, founder of the group Nojan in Iran, and of the group Espersan in France.
The Târ is his main instrument, he also plays Ukulele and Sétâr.
He was trained at the school of music and at the Isfahan conservatory, then at the musician / teacher training center CFMI in Sélestat.
A successful singer in Iran, he travels couple of times per year to maintain his concerts over there.
He was 12 years old when he first saw Târ in a familial party, and encouraged by his mother, he takes lessons at the school of music and also private lessons with masters of this instrument.
He started with traditional Iranian music, and after founding the group Nojan, he produced his musical performances on stage.
Among these performances we can see: Dar Emtedâd é Asvât, which means "on the track of sounds", "
Lebâskhâni ”which means“ the story of the clothes ”
Then, "Gouché hâyé Esfahan" which literally means "Corners of Isfahan", the two-way title plays with the word Gushé which means both corner and neighbourhoods but also a musical term from the Iranian Maqâm subparts which is Gushé.
The idea of working on the music of Isfahan, with the accent of this city, came from there.
From that moment he launched into parody, but also his own productions of satirical songs where the accent of Ispahan is very present.
He works as a music children teacher at school of Europeans Parliament in Strasbourg.
