Putra Timur is a singer-songwriter from Jakarta, Indonesia who marked his name to indie local scene with his folk-ish sound in Two Scenes, The Loneliest Man on Earth, and Sejenak (Single). He began to gain attention to the national extent with his sudden swift to a more vintage Indonesiana persona by introducing Merengkuh Mesra as his single in 2019, followed by his debut album Mahligai in 2020. Some even say his music is a combination of Dewa 19 & Chrisye blends in one, not to mention they were two of his heroes/inspirations in music.
During the pandemic era he and his closest peers formed a music collective named Loneliest Club consisting of Mafia Pemantik Qolbu, Binar, Shinjoko, and himself. Together they experimented to a more wider-range of genre by releasing numerous seasonal single for Christmas and Ramadan such as; Another Empty Glass, Forever Lasting Joy, Hawa', and The Saviour.
His collaborative work also can be heard in one of the tracks from Binar’s Jalan Rindang Dua Tiga EP and Jek’s Story of a Sad Ghost EP.
With Romansa Kekasih & Bayang-Bayang as his only two latest single, the past songs that still exist in the surface of his listeners, and the wandering whereabouts of his next move. Take notes, Putra Timuris set to make his return in 2024.
