From Decatur, GA, “Q.Royal” grew up surrounded by the sounds of R&B/Soul and Gospel played by his Mother, Mema, and Uncles, shaping the foundation of his sound. What started as a quiet fascination became a lifelong passion. Inspired by icons like Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Brandy, Chris Brown, and Mindless Behavior, he taught himself to sing and dance, sharpening his craft long before he ever entered a studio. Seeing his dedication, his mother and godfather invested in his first home studio. On his very first day recording, he created “Come & Go,” a song reflecting a young love that faded as fast as it arrived. That moment ignited something bigger. At just 14, he transformed real life experiences into his debut EP, Chapter 14 (2017), giving listeners an early window into his emotions, perspective, and storytelling. Over the years, Q.Royal has evolved into a multi-dimensional R&B artist, blending smooth vocals with vulnerability, movement, and intention. His sound bridges modern R&B/Pop with Afrobeats and soulful nostalgia, creating music that feels emotional yet confident. His recent singles, including “Apologize” and the R&B-Afrobeats fusion “Where’s the Love,” highlight an artist who has grown, learned, and refined his identity.
