Queen Cult are an alternative rock band based in Macclesfield, UK formed by songwriter, lead vocalist and guitarist Maisie Johnson with Brodie Carson on drums, Piers Jarvis on bass and Ruby Augar on lead guitar.
Unapologetically queer, Queen Cult have released three critically acclaimed, fierce and politically charged EPs. Their 3rd EP BE BETTER was released in August ‘24, preceded by the singles, 'Stop Calling', 'The Hand Lender', 'To Be A Boy' and 'Be Better.'
A live focussed band, Queen Cult performed at Y Not, Alt Escape and Brighton Pride festivals in 2024 amongst many other gigs. They are part of Great Escape First Fifty for 2025 and are currently working on new music for release from early 2025.
