Blasting into the charts with the posse cut "Cayó la Noche (Remix)," Spanish vocalist Quevedo immediately attracted attention with his strong delivery and unique, deep-pitched voice. In just a year, he became one of the genre's biggest new stars, topping international charts and breaking records with Bizarrap collaboration Quevedo: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52. Buoyed by the hits "Punto G" and "Playa del Inglés" (with Myke Towers), he again topped the charts in Spain with his full-length debut, 2023's Donde Quiero Estar and his subsequent summer anthem "Columbia." Another Spanish number one came his way with 2024's Buenas Noches.

Born in Madrid before moving between Brazil and the Canary Islands, Pedro Luis Domínguez Quevedo honed his skills in freestyle rap before committing to a musical career in 2020. Utilizing his deep vocal tone amid trap ("Piel de Cordero," "Luna") and reggaeton ("Universitaria" "Cógelo Suave"), he soon built strong collaborative relationships with local talents -- connections that were to form the basis of his breakout hit. "Cayó La Noche," a collaboration between Quevedo, La Pantera, and Juseph, initially landed minor attention, before the Spanish trio enlisted a roster of up-and-comers for the track's 2022 remix. With a seven-man roster of hungry new talents in the local rap scene, the "Cayó La Noche (Remix)" soon garnered hundreds of millions of streams online, and eventually the number seven spot on Spain's PROMUSICAE charts. With audiences impressed by Quevedo's resonant chorus and unique vocals, he received significant attention on subsequent singles "Respuesta Cero" and "Chamaquita," as well as being enlisted by Duki and De La Ghetto for follow-up hit "Si Quieren Frontear."

With his next single, Quevedo would transform from successful up-and-comer to one of the genre's most in-demand voices: in July 2022, the vocalist collaborated with Argentinian producer Bizarrap, delivering an explosive reggaeton-dance fusion single in "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52." Charting at number one in eight countries, the party-focused track became one of the year's biggest hits, landing a nine-times platinum certification, racking up over a billion streams online, and marking the first time that a Spanish (Quevedo) or Argentinian (Bizarrap) act had topped the Billboard Global 200.

Moving with the momentum of his breakout single, he quickly issued subsequent hits in "Punto G," "Sin Señal," and "Vista al Mar," alongside collaborating with Myke Towers on "Playa del Inglés." All four tracks lead up to the release of his full-length debut album, Donde Quiero Estar. Arriving in January 2023, the album hit number one in Spain, ultimately spending eight weeks at the top of the charts. It also reached number 12 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart. Just a few months later, he landed another #1 hit in Spain with summer smash "Columbia," which landed eight platinum certifications in his home country.

His hit-making streak continued through the year's end and into 2024, with Saiko collaboration "Buenas" and solo single "La Última" both topping the charts. In November 2024, he delivered his second studio album, Buenas Noches, which featured a bevy of collaborations including appearances by Pitbull, Rels B, Aitana, Yung Beef, La Pantera, and others. Anchored by the singles "Duro, "Buenas Noches," and Kassandra," it topped the charts in Spain and reached number two on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart. ~ David Crone, Rovi
