Q.Z. tha Leader

Q.Z. Tha Leader is an American Hip-Hop recording artist, songwriter, and record producer from Biloxi, Mississippi. He gained huge recognition from his 2012 viral smash “Black Russian”. In the summer of 2013, the southern producer and wordsmith left his hometown in search of inspiration in the great Pacific Northwest. He reestablished his idiosyncratic storytelling and lyricism in the city of Portland, Oregon, which he now calls home. Q.Z. Finally pulls back the shades and opens up his life to the world. His new artistic hub, coupled with his eccentric vision, helped shape and mold Q.Z.'s latest offerings. A new path is being paved for the Mississippi lyricist. One that takes the emcee down a darker sonic path full of brooding lyrics and unapologetic truths.
Q.Z. Tha Leader has been releasing singles every month in 2018 to show appreciation for his ever growing fan base. The first single was “Balloons In Tha Wind.” A nod to the crate digging golden era of hip-hop. The second single was Tha Smoke. A witty, yet lyrical performance over popping guitars and aggressive trap style percussion. He will be releasing a single song a month leading up to his full-length album entitled “DRK MATTER(S) slated to drop summer 2018. Q.Z will produce the album himself with the help of other talented musicians and composers around the globe. DRK MATTERS(S) is poised to be his most powerful piece of art to date.
