Billboard Top 40 recording artist/songwriter, Rachid (aka Ra, Rachid Bell) is the son of the <a href="spotify:artist:3VNITwohbvU5Wuy5PC6dsI" data-name="Kool &amp; The Gang">Kool &amp; The Gang</a>&#39;s late principal founding member &amp; conceptualist- Ronald Bell. His 1998 Universal Records debut album “Prototype” spawned his first international hit, “Pride” which he wrote and produced. “Pride” peaked #33 on the Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart and #89 on UK’s Singles Chart. Rachid spent the last 25 years focused on stage performances and submerging himself in travel, culture &amp; art. To honor his devoted supporters and celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Prototype”, Rachid signed a new Joint-Venture deal with <a href="spotify:artist:5aad5fuuqRuiaYyhnwG0i8" data-name="Michael DeBarge">Michael DeBarge</a>&#39;s Midtown Radio &amp; Records Inc. distributed by Sony/Orchard.
