Radiator King's new single "The Second Coming" was recorded with veteran producer Ted Hutt (The Gaslight Anthem, Violent Femmes). Fame Magazine are hailing the song as "A bold declaration—a powerful and electrifying testament that rock & roll is alive, thriving, and as vital as ever."
For the last decade Radiator King has been the moniker of NYC-via-Boston solo artist Adam Silvestri. But since he moved to L.A. in 2021 at the urging of longtime collaborator / drummer / Dresden Dolls co-founder Brian Viglione, the two have teamed up with keyboardist Alexander Burke (Bob Dylan, Anderson .Paak, Greg Dulli) to form a proper band with a fixed lineup and all members contributing to the writing process.
"The Second Coming"—the latest song to emerge from this new era of Radiator King—is a breakneck punk- and garage-tinged powerhouse of an alternative anthem. With its thunderous drums, pulsing organ, impassioned vocal performance and hyper-catchy guitar riffing, it's a much-needed shot in the arm for rock & roll. Named after a Yeats poem about a world descending into chaos, the lyrics to Radiator King's "The Second Coming" were written by Silvestri in New York City during the pandemic. "I remember being holed up in my apartment," he says, "and having this realization that the mechanisms we believe are in place to protect us—how easily they can break down, and how vulnerable we really are when that thin veneer of security is ripped away."
