When a 43 and a 24 year old collaborate, what do you get?
Hopefully some fun pop music with a little bit of wisdom sprinkled in. Or at least some life experiences.
Kmonvish Lawan is a WAVS artist who has been releasing music since 2022 and is garnering attention with tastemakers for his original pop sounds and diverse palette. He was most recently selected for the ‘Sansiri Artiszen’ programme where he will be creating something for Bangkok Design Week.
Rafiq Ridzwan is the Head of Domestic Marketing at Warner Music Thailand and one of the mentors at WAVS. He has not released or performed any music for 19 years since his collaboration with Yarinda and Friends.
This is the first single from their upcoming collaborative album. “Up and Down” is an electronic meta pop piece about the uncertainty of our lives. When things go up, they go up. When it starts to go down, they go down. The more we worry, the less we enjoy the ride. So just keep your seatbelts on in the turbulence!
