Rai Renea is a once-in-a-generation unique talent. She is a successful and decorated educator, entrepreneur, author, and recording artist with numerous accolades. A student of the spoken word, Rai’s voice is on full display with her new album, Good, Evil, and the Kitchen Sink. Each track is a loving homage to some of the most influential African Americans who came before her and an expression of self few achieve.
Her efforts have already paid massive dividends. Rai was recently invited to perform at Amazon’s Headquarters in Miami for Black History Month. She has earned the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for her work in the community. Never one to back down from a challenge, Rai coached the 2022 National Speech and Debate Spoken Word champion.
Rai Renea has entertained such noted celebrities as singer/actor, Tyrese, comedian Tony Rock, actor Malik Yoba, and former
NBA star Alonzo Mourning. She has opened for renowned musical artists Digable Planets and Public Announcement. Additionally, Rai Renea has been featured on BET J (now Centrix) Lyric Cafe. She won the Best Hip-Hop Video Award in December 2007 and third place at the International Just Plain Folks Awards. Her single, Make Your Move, was in the TOP 30, four times on ITUNES Chart for US Spoken Word.
Rai’s return to the spoken word is the culmination of a lifelong journey of discovery. She has combined her three distinct selves into one of the most powerful voices of our time.
