As an American, born to Indian parents who immigrated to the US in the early 70's, gives him a great understanding of culture, music and what it can mean to people. Even at 4 years old, music was at the forefront of his life like listening to Hindi music with his parents or seeing two turntables, a mic & a mixer with his uncle, who was a DJ in Washington DC.
The NYC metro area, exposed a lot of groundbreaking music including Hip Hop, Dancehall, House, Latin etc. Writing was his first foray in high school & after a couple performances along with DJ gigs he intertwined with music. Living in NYC allowed him to observe the music scene further drive him to accomplish his goals.
The General debuted and garnered attention & airplay, with further releases that diversify his musical portfolio. Raja That (Hindi sample), Something's Goin On & Tonight (dancehall) allowed him to raise the bar of how an U.S. born South Asian Hip Hop artist was looked upon. He has been playlisted on BBC's Radio 1 & BBC Asian Network on a consistent basis. Videos are shown all across the world from Europe, Asia, Africa, Austrailia & back to North America.
Having worked with such talents as Juggy D, Kami K, & the late great Soni Pabla he has been blessed to create masterpieces with them. He has also performed with Jay Sean, Cassidy, Rishi Rich, Jay Dabhi, Imran Khan & many others.
