Native North London producer and Reprezent Radio DJ, RALPH, creates dark, emotive palettes that explore and blur the sonics of UK club culture and beyond.
With a heavy visual influence and a keen interest in exploring the emotional, poignant pockets of electronic music, RALPH’s style neither lends itself to solely club nor ambient focused music, but rather a balance struck between the two. Laying heavy influence at the feet of early Burial and Overmono records, infused with other notable (and varied) influences including Jon Hopkins, Moderat, MssingNo, Nils Frahm, Objekt and Skee Mask to name but a few, RALPH’s style creates textured, evocative worlds for both the individual and the dance.
An introspective, multi-disciplinary creative, RALPH channels music as a medium for creativity and self expression as well as understanding how he fits into this world as an artist. Its end result, ‘Psychosomatic’, being a passage of self, development, creative patterns and his journey as an artist. With a background in film and a burgeoning visual style seen through frequent collaborations with artists and photographers alike, the EP will also display stylistic visuals alongside the music.
'Psychosomatic' will be releasing 3rd April via LOVE IN THE ENDZ.
