Ramey

In 2016, Steve Ramey decided to leave music behind and grow up. That didn't take; instead he wrote 10 new songs and released his first album (2018's There is a Light) with a little help from his friends Ryan Hall (guitar/vox) , Sue Hall (bass), Alex "Tiberius" Shields (keys) and Steve's wife, Sarah Ramey (vox). Influenced by the cutting prophecies of Bob Dylan, the wild American essence of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and trips between Columbus, Ohio and down home to visit family in Appalachia, his music gives words to what sometimes goes unsaid or unknown, even by those closest to us, or even to ourselves. All of it backed by by intricate melodies, driving drums, and three-part harmonies.

In 2024, he took a detour from his folk roots and released "When It Comes," an airy, Steve Winwood-inspired track making peace with what's ahead for all of us.
