Rammy is an American rapper that blurs the lines between alternative hip-hop and indie rap; epitomizing spoken-songwriting. Inspirations root from styles pioneered by Chicago artists such as early Chance the Rapper, or Saba’s “Care For Me”; additionally BONES, Logic, and Mick Jenkins. Based out of Chicagoland’s western suburbs, Dom is a 2017 alumni of York Community High School. He occupied his junior and senior year learning how to utilize the music department, notably recording the vocals to the original version of SoCal (a cover to Mac DeMarco’s Don Juan, available on SoundCloud).
His second album, “The Night I Swam Across the Ocean", was a coming-of-age compilation where mental battles became context. Here was the era that made way for Cuffing Season (3M+ on Spotify). Released October 26th, 2018, this sample heavy album was the first full-length product of Dom’s early home studio days
On June 3rd, 2023, “Rammy: First Edition”, the self-titled album dropped. This project centrally consists of self & co-produced, home grown arrangements to show solidified skills and new approaches to the modernity of rap
