With influences ranging from alternative rock, grunge, Brit rock to classic rock; Ran42k fuses all its members’ influences to create its own signature sound.
What started as a project in 2017, the band has been prolific in releasing new music each year since 2019. Winning awards in El Salvador for best Rock Song in 2021 for ‘Ballerina’ and Best EP for ‘V’ in 2022. Leading up to opening for the legendary rock band Scorpions in a stadium concert in April 2023.
The band is named after the Salvadoran hero José Arturo Castellanos, who was awarded the title 'Righteous Among The Nations' for saving 42 thousand lives during the WWII holocaust. He was also Paul's grandfather.
RAN42K is Carlos Garzona (vocals), Paul García (drums), Gabriel Parker (bass), Kevin Aguilar (lead guitar) and Eduardo Aguilar (rhythm guitar).
