Rancel is a 25 year old DJ and producer based in the sunny Canary Islands, Spain. He navigates through his different influences such as house, minimal, breakbeat to create a sound of his own. Groovy beats, funky basslines and melodies tainted with secrecy characterizes the touch of Rancel.
In 2021, Rancel felt the undeniable urge to combine his two biggest passions in life, bodyboarding and electronic music. He used to spend most of his time in the water with his board. Later, he would run back to the studio to portray what he felt during the session. The universe that revolved around Rancel shaped into his very own music label, Spooky Wave. Predominantly influenced by his taste in music, the label integrates a mixture of mysterious, intriguing, and sneaky sounds that perfectly blend with his funky and easygoing persona.
Takes his first sandy steps by launching the SW001 “The Enchanted Swell”. A four-track EP where you will find a wide variety of vintage, fresh, and housy sounds. Each one of his tracks narrates a different chapter of his hunt to find the perfect spot to surf. He would have never imagined what his eyes saw once he arrived at the beach break...
