Raised in South Jakarta, Rasyiqa grew up dreaming of a Hannah Montana double life, ordinary girl by day, rockstar by night. Her soundtrack was a mix of Disney Channel, MTV, and her brother’s mixtapes leaking through the wall. Though she always imagined having her own band, music felt like a dream she had to let go of after college, choosing a more "reasonable" path working behind the scenes in the industry.
At 25, heartbreak brought her back to songwriting. Her debut single “Reckless” was released as a birthday gift to herself, made with her closest friends. A city pop rework with Vintonic, “Reckless (But Make It 80s),” was later released to closed off her debut year.
Since then, she’s built a catalogue that feels like diary entries; raw, reflective, and real. From the early 2000s angst of “Get Up! (Get Out!)” and “I’ve Had Enough” to the introspective calm of “2:15 (Steph’s Song)” and “A Song for Someone Else,” her songs explore everything from heartbreak to healing.
Her debut album Reckless (out Aug 15, 2025) ties it all together. It’s a coming-of-age record for late bloomers, overthinkers, and anyone learning to find beauty in uncertainty. Through emotional lyrics and nostalgic guitar hooks, Rasyiqa writes to feel less alone and hopes you do too.
