Back in 76’ <a href="spotify:artist:5e8PzKR7GtAtJzBVARpNv6" data-name="Raw Soul Express">Raw Soul Express</a> recorded their self-titled debut album and opened for several acclaimed artists, such as <a href="spotify:artist:7GaxyUddsPok8BuhxN6OUW" data-name="James Brown">James Brown</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0TF2NxkJZPQoX1H53rEFM1" data-name="Gladys Knight & The Pips">Gladys Knight & The Pips</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:3VNITwohbvU5Wuy5PC6dsI" data-name="Kool & The Gang">Kool & The Gang</a>. After going independent in 78’, they released their first club favorite, which was a single off their second album <a href="spotify:artist:2g4QoKrU2eD35FYTqqfezm" data-name="The Way We Live">The Way We Live</a>.
In 82’ the band disbanded, and soon after, Rick began touring with <a href="spotify:artist:5bDxAyJiTYBat1YnFJhvEK" data-name="Joe Walsh">Joe Walsh</a> (The Eagles) doing their backing vocals, and recording with <a href="spotify:artist:5gznATMVO85ZcLTkE9ULU7" data-name="Lenny Kravitz">Lenny Kravitz</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3Y3xIwWyq5wnNHPp5gPjOW" data-name="Kenny Loggins">Kenny Loggins</a> on <a href="spotify:artist:5q7oXsavXXuoVwmdoJbvT9" data-name="Footloose Original Broadway Cast">Footloose Original Broadway Cast</a>. Albie Manno formed his own company and began writing with Eugene Wilde (<a href="spotify:artist:5rSXSAkZ67PYJSvpUpkOr7" data-name="Backstreet Boys">Backstreet Boys</a>). He was famously a co-writer on “<a href="spotify:album:3PiIv0iSpEqD8AyxmpTs8H" data-name="I'll Never Break Your Heart">I'll Never Break Your Heart</a>".
