Recio began releasing music in 2020. His early work is characterized by self-produced bedroom pop tunes with catchy hooks and introspective stories. Later that same year he released the song <a href="spotify:album:5mbx8njXFDT4Kjmu9mEX7D" data-name="Distant Lately">Distant Lately</a> which brought Recio to playlists worldwide landing him a major label record deal. In 2023 he was nominated for best alternative project by the Awit Awards for his second project, <a href="spotify:album:48lIXdH2AeWLnZYoIv9XRA" data-name="How Does It Feel EP">How Does It Feel EP</a>.
