Behind Red Luke is the talented drummer and producer Birk Nevel from Copenhagen, Denmark.
He´s a former member of the hip hop collective “Gypsies”, who collaborated with several “Stones Throw” artists like Wild Child, Roc C, Dudley Perkins, OHNO, DJ Romes and Guilty Simpson. Inspired by the Detroit sound and the legendary J Dilla, Birk began producing beats on his own.
Now, an established producer and songwriter, Birk Nevel has worked with the best artists from the danish scene, including danish Grammy award winning artists, Shaka Loveless, Tim Christensen and Mads Langer.
Birk has toured the world as a drummer with bands like WhoMadeWho, Outlandish, Medina and The Asteroids Galaxy Tour
