RED OPTICAL CORP is a moniker for Ross Devore who writes, sings, plays and produces his music. He has been playing music since he was 16 and released his first EP Friendliest Town In America in 2019 as a semi concept album. It takes 3 different people and has them culminate in a meeting of a car crash. His follow up Food for Thought was an introspective collection of songs about dealing with inner demons and life in general. With these 2 records behind him, MOONBEAMS explores a concept album of a man who dreamt of exploring space and beyond but ends up floating aimlessly until he ultimately gives up and hopes for help from beyond. The album DOORWAYS explores life's choices and outcomes based on choices we think we have control in making. Is free will real or are we destined to make the choices we end up making? The most recent album ROYAL OAK DINER explores the what it might feel like if the diner was alive and capable of telling the stories of the patrons from the beginning to eventual demolition. Everything has a life cycle. Ross will be taking a hiatus from RED OPTICAL CORP to work on a new project with another musician forming the band Lost in the Obscure. Be sure to look out for their debut album later in 2025!!
