Reflexion is a Finnish hard rock band that combines the best of classic rock, gothic rock and northern melancholy. Reflexion's roots date back to the turn of the 2000s. Original line-up includes Juha Kylmänen, Juhani Heikka, Ilkka Jolma, Mikko Uusimaa and Ari-Matti Pohjola.
Out of the Dark (2006) spawned 2 singles, Undying Dreams and Storm. Undying Dreams peaked at #13 on the official Finnish charts.
Dead to the Past, Blind for Tomorrow (2008) had 2 singles Weak & Tired and Twilight Child which inluded Roxette's classic Listen to Your Heart arranged for guitar (#11 on the official Finnish charts). The album reached #30 on the official Finnish charts. The album's cover art were made by Vesa Ranta (Sentenced, Cemetery Skyline).
Edge (2010) was mixed by Hiili Hiilesmaa. Edge, as the name suggests, is more angular and rougher than previous albums. The band's Obsession with Swedish Pop music and their female vocalists were led by a cover version of the Cardigans' song Couldn't care less. Tonmi Lillman (To/Die/For, Sinergy, Lordi) played drums on the album and Ilkka Leskelä (Embraze) on tour.
During their career, Reflexion has played over 200 gigs, performing at several clubs and festivals such as Qstock, Jalometalli, Mera Luna, Wave Gotik Treffen. The band has collaborated on gigs by opening for Charon and Poisonblack.
The band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2011. In 2024, the members reunited for a special gig and maybe we will see new music in the future?
