The child of an Algerian father and Finnish mother, Manna was born between two cultures. She has a unique position from which to observe both, being a foreigner wherever she goes. This informs the way that she lives her whole life, how she walks into a room, how she sings a melody. She is an in-betweener, constantly changing, constantly evolving.

Manna certainly has a back story that lesser singers would die for. Her previous record was produced by Alain Johannes (Queens of The Stone Age). Mark Lanegan sang with her on her own composed song Wishing Well. She has also guested, sharing vocals with Jim Reid on The Jesus & Mary Chain's Just Like Honey.

But all this seems meaningless compared to her last album "Blackbird". A record of a singer finding her own voice in a private and healing place - the sound of a child humming to itself in order to find its way through the dark forest.

And now her first solo venture in Finnish: EP LIMINAALI out now.
