Relentless Consumption

Relentless Consumption is a 21st century American metal band hailing from the rural country side of Western Massachusetts. Their sound harbors the explosive energy of thrash metal, with the ominous tendencies of Norwegian black metal, expressed in a melodic death metal style of songwriting. Brutally heartfelt lyrics citing real world observations are the primary focus of the vocalist.

Under the tutelage of Emil Werstler, Relentless Consumption was built from the ground up. When the project first commenced, Mike had little to no knowledge of anything related to music production outside of a knack for playing the guitar. Songwriting and application of music theory were the first academic focuses of this project. Next came recording, editing, and production. Mike also took up playing the bass guitar (5-string, LTD) and began vocal training during this process. Mike eventually found a vocal technique that had a consistent and brutal sound which was also sustainable for back to back vocal recording sessions, and became the dedicated vocalist.

Mike plays ESP guitars in E standard tuning with 11 gauge strings. He lives in Pittsfield, MA and is open to collaborations, lessons, and anything else music related.
