Rémy-Marie is a solo artist from Alberta, Canada, blending heartfelt songwriting with rich instrumentation and a deep love for both music and the fine arts. Beginning her recording journey at just 13 years old, she is inspired and supported by a dedicated teacher who helped turn dreams into reality. She has grown from playing lead guitar and background vocals in two bands to carving out a unique solo path of her own. She is also part of two other bands, including Les Foux and Sk1ll Issue.
Drawing creative inspiration from the storytelling of Noah Kahan and Taylor Swift, the emotive soundscapes of Dan Mangan, and the powerful vocals of Florence + The Machine; she crafts songs that resonate with authenticity and soul. Proficient on keyboard, guitar, ukulele, and mandolin, she brings versatile and layered sounds to her music.
In 7th grade, Rémy-Marie auditioned for the rock band club in her junior high school, where she met her now favourite teacher — a mentor who taught her how to write songs, master multiple instruments, and develop her presence as a performer. Inspired by a family legacy — She is the daughter of singer songwriter Geoff McKenzie — she has carried that passion into her own solo career.
As a proud francophone artist, Rémy-Marie embraces her cultural roots while looking ahead to a future filled with many albums and recordings. With her debut single now released, this is just the beginning of an exciting musical journey.
