Born in Piacenza, Italy, Renato Podestà has lent his musical talents to multiple settings. From the swing band Sugarpie and the Candymen to the Italian showman Renzo Arbore, from the Australian jazz singer Hetty Kate to the tribal pop band Etnorchestra, his abilities as a guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer and arranger have been refined and perfected. His first album as a leader, Foolish Little Dreams, showcases his love of both the New Orleans tradition and contemporary jazz.
