On stage, René Danger merges his voice with modular synthesizers and his gameboys, mixing Breton gwerzoù and breakbeat, traditional melodies and electronic soundscapes ; a style which could be summed up with the portmanteau words gwerz-dub or chip-trad.
René Danger co-founded the label Editentités, a platform for exploring traditional and futuristic sounds. He experiments with various radio formats through Ondorphine, a collective of sound artists hacking the FM band in various places (from institutional venues and festivals to squats and forests) to create an ephemeral space of inclusivity, knowledge and experimentation.
Featured on compilations on Krakzh, Belleville Records and Tursiops, René Danger released his first album « Pacifique Atlantique » on Supergenius Records in 2019, and « Randonerd EP » on Editentités in 2022. His next output, « Gwerzboy », will be published in spring 2023 on a DIY gameboy cartridge.
