Platinum selling Rethabile Khumalo is a South African platinum selling singer, song writer, guitarist, and dancer hailing from Sebokeng in Vaal. She first captured the public's eye as a contestant in the popular singing competition South African Idols during season 8 (2011) and 9 (2012) and managed to achieve top 16 in the competition, even though she has been venturing in arts and culture since the tender age of 6 years old.
Rethabile is born from a musically gifted family, with Winnie Khumalo as her mother, of which she was a back up dancer for back in 2008. She attained her musical and guitar certificates at London Trinity School where she honed her craft, she was also a singer and dancer for a jazz band called Essence of Musiq. Music has always been more than a hobby for Rethabile, it has been a refuge for her and her mother whenever they went through difficult times.
