Ricardo Bacelar, Brazilian composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, built a solid career with a rich and diversified discography. His first album In Natura (2000) features guest appearances by Belchior, Frejat, and Hanoi Hanoi. In 2016, he released Concerto para Moviola, a live recording that reached the jazz charts in the United States. In 2018 he released Sebastiana, exploring the nuances of Brazilian music with Brazilian and international musicians. The album appeared among the most played on jazz radio stations in the U.S. In 2020 the album Ao Vivo no Rio performed on the American jazz chart. Paracosmo (2022) is an instrumental album created in partnership with guitarist Cainã Cavalcanti. Congênito (2022) represents a turning point in his career, in which Ricardo sings, plays all the instruments, and interprets songs by Brazilian composers. In 2023, two new albums stood out: Andar com Gil, a tribute to Gilberto Gil, recorded with Delia Fischer and with the participation of Gil himself, and Nós e o Mar, a contemporary reinterpretation of Bossa Nova, with Roberto Menescal and Diogo Monzo, which received excellent reception in both international and national markets. In addition to these albums, Ricardo Bacelar released several singles and EPs, such as Ponto de Partida (2022) and Telepatia (2024), in partnership with Flávio Venturini, enriching his discography, also with Toninho Horta, Amelinha, and Jaques Morelenbaum. In 2024 he releases Donato, with Leila Pinheiro.
