Born in Kent, in the South East of England, Richard has been composing electronic music for over 30 years. Richard's music has been inspired by many artists including Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, Enigma and Tangerine Dream with the aim of creating electronic music with feeling.
Starting classical piano lessons at the age of 8, he went on to study music and technology at Kingston University, London. After University, Richard worked in London for 14 years as sound engineer and resident composer for illusionist Simon Drake at his venue Simon Drake’s House of Magic.
Richard's prolific output includes everything from classical piano to epic soundscapes, synthesiser pop to progressive rock. Using the themes of nature, science, modern life to ancient monuments, the music takes many different forms and turns.
In 2024 Richard has worked on 2 albums of material inspired by the myths and legends of Ancient Greece. The first of these albums, Twelve Olympians, features epic progressive electronica on the tracks Zeus and Ares, synth pop with the tracks Apollo and Hermes, and cinematic electronica on tracks such as Hephaestus and Aphrodite. The second project At The Altar of the Twelve Gods follows the them with darker epic cinematic themes.
